The New MBT Spring Line: A MBT Makeover

Comfort Shoes, dynamic, Fitness Shoes, MBT Shoes, Rocker Bottom Shoes, Toning Shoes, Walking Shoes - By Courtney Miles on Saturday, March 27, 2010 - 20:02

For all of us true MBT fans (pretty much anyone who has ever worn them), the new spring collection for 2010 is a real treat.  Combining all of the best of the MBT design for comfort, support, and fit, MBT has answered the call of the consumer – and made the shoes even more visually appealing.

If you know what MBT shoes are, you know that they have a very distinct look.  The thick curved sole makes them one of a kind, even with all the imitators out there.  In the past, the look of the MBT has appealed to the cool, funky, hip personalities among us (me, of course), but it has also been off-putting to those who cannot get past it.

Getting Your Newest MBTs

The best place to check out the complete collection of MBTs for Spring 2010 is The #1 Authorized MBT Shoe Retailer.  They have the best selection, and when you choose to buy a pair, they have competitive pricing.  Their very liberal Lifetime Return Policy is the best you'll find online.  Commit to viewing the new of MBT Shoes.

Special Notice: Right now they are having a sale on ALL Discontinued MBT Shoes.  There are 65 styles on sale for $119 while they last.  Currently they are available in all sizes, but they are selling fast.  They are by far the largest retailer of MBT Shoes, so once these shoes are sold, they will be gone forever.  Click the link above to buy a pair of authentic MBT Shoes are the lowest prices you will find.

MBT Design – Where Aesthetics Meet Function

MBTs are traditionally designed (originally created, in fact) to provide walkers with a shoe that can benefit the health of your whole body – from your feet right up to your neck.  The function of these shoes was at the forefront more than any other aspect.  The company has long been committed to manufacturing shoes that offer the following to its wearers:

  • Stimulate and strengthen muscles
  • Reduce strain and tension
  • Improve posture and walking form
  • Protect and improve your body
  • Improve symptoms of injuries (joint, ligament, and tendon) and prevent further ones
  • Help tone and shape your body
  • Act as therapy and a training aid
  • Research supported & doctor and physiotherapist recommended

That said, MBT is concerned with the look of the shoe.  Obviously, they know it looks different, but their goal has not been to make an unattractive shoe.  They have always strived for a fresh, fun, and bright look to the shoes.  However, there have been comments, even sidelong glances.  When other companies might have balked, MBT listened.  Their spring collection features modern elements and details that will put it at the top of your list for must-have spring shoes:

  • Streamlined shape and appearance
  • A sleeker and cleaner blending of the upper and sole to create a less dramatic look that keeps the function of the sole but does not aesthetically highlight it as much
  • Lightweight and airy
  • Urban flavor for city wear
  • New designs that will crossover into the workplace will greater ease
  • Wider range of colors – including some bright spring and summer colors – reds, silvers, royal blue & lime green accents, and more

Collections Highlights

Within both the Men’s and the Women’s Collections, there are real standouts out to me for several reasons.

The Tano MBT for Men and the Imara MBT for Women
This is a clog with a back-strap.  It is slimmer (without compromising the MBT sole) and sleeker looking.  It is as smart as any other clog out there, but it offers all of the benefits of an MBT – making this shoe the perfect shoe for workers on their feet all day!  Nurses, counselors, office employees – anyone who has tried a Dansko, a Birkenstock, Crocs, or any other popular clog out there – will find that the new MBT clogs are superior in comfort, durability, and all day foot relief and support.

The Sawa for Women
This sling-back patent leather Mary Jane is not just super comfortable and supportive – it is also super cute.  The sole is a lower profile than other MBTs and the look is sophisticated and sweet.  These shoes will be great at work and at play.

The Sini for Men
This shoe/sneaker offers wearers all of the comfort and support of an MBT sneaker, but this shoe has a much more modern – less orthopedic look to it than MBTs of the past.  These are a great option for men looking for supportive, comfortable, and durable casual shoes.

The Last Word on MBTs for Spring

Sizing – Always check the MBT Size Chart for conversions. Often true to size, MBTs come in thirds, not halves.

Tips – The fit should be snug and laced up tight.  Don’t expect to wear them all day right away; give your body time to get used to the extra workout!

Other Reviews On The New MBT Shoes

“I’ve always been a fan of MBTs, but now my wife is eager to get her pair of Sawas – a pretty little patent leather that matches her style. Finally, she’ll get the benefit of MBTs that I’ve been enjoying for years.”

“The MBT Fanaka for men is awesome.  It is a great looking professional shoe that I will be wearing to the office everyday when it arrives.”

So, spring into spring with a new pair of cushioned MBTs  from their newest collection – available at Top MBT Shoe Retailer.  Your new pair will arrive before you know it.

Good question.

The new line has the same fit as the older models, just a lower profile.  MBT is moving toward a more mainstream (or stylish) look to their shoes.

Thanks for you comments.

I have been in a pair of Lamis for the past year. They are too narrow in the toe box, which makes my feet numb and my metatarsals and sesmoid area very sore. On the other hand, my hips don't hurt anymore and my IT band issues have diminished greatly. I like the sport 2 - it's a good quarter inch wider in the toe box. But the sport is on the clearance sale at your favorite online retailer. Is there any difference in fit with the new line or is it just a lower profile shoe?

Footwear etc. is by far the largest retailer of MBT Shoes.  If they don't have it in stock, it is unlikely any of the other authorized retailers have it in stock.

MBT has been dealing with counterfeiters for several months now.  Typically they are selling Fake MBT Shoes for under $100.  They are working to get these sites shut down to protect their brand.  People who have purchased MBTs from these sites have received shoes that did not fit, fell apart within a few days, where over billed, and didn't receive their shoes for weeks.  Getting a refund has been difficult (if they received one at all).

MBT has asked it's authorized retailers to sell off all of their older style, because the are discontinuing them.  This is why you will see prices from their authorized dealers at $99.

One place you can go to see a list of all the authorized MBT Shoe Retailers is http://www.mbtshoesusa.com

To answer your questions, there are No Authorized MBT Shoe Retailers selling the Kisuma 2 for $99.

Footwear etc. is out of stock on women's black Kisumu 2 sandals. I checked online. Several sites sell them (in stock) for around $100. Footwear etc sells for $199, whenthey have them and they don't expect more until after October. So are the online versions not authentic? How do i check? Please advise.
