Mephisto Shoes: Worth The Price

I recently discovered that Mephisto shoes are the epitome of “you get what you pay for.” The higher price tag may have some people cringing. I discovered that these walking shoes are worth every dime. The company boasts that each shoe is handmade of natural elements. These include rubber, cork, the softest leather, and latex. One thing that stuck out to me is that although the price is high, Mephisto will refurbish any shoe you purchase. They will replace or repair any part of the shoe in order to make them look like new again. For an offer like that, I couldn’t pass it up.

I had to try several different pairs to get the design that fit my feet the best. I have high arches, so not all of the designs fit well. I’ve found that they run about a half size off for me, although some people claim they are true to size. You may want to order from an online company that makes exchanges easy. It took me numerous tries to find the right fit and most comfortable shoe for me.

I purchased the Niro in black - and I absolutely love them. They have a stylish look and are extremely comfortable for long periods of walking. I can sometimes walk several miles a day at work and my feet don’t hurt any more. I have never found shoes that can keep my knees from hurting at the end of the day, until now. No more aching, tired legs at the end of a long day. I enjoy them so well I ordered a mesh pair to wear during the summer.

One problem that I have had consistent problems with is my feet sweating. Air can’t get inside or outside to allow my feet to breath. Mephisto walking shoes has solved that problem for me. Their insoles promote the circulation of air throughout the shoe while still keeping feet warm. I’m no longer ashamed to remove my shoes when I’m around other people.

There are so many colors and designs to choose from, I know where my next pair of walking shoes is coming from. Not because the old ones wear out, but because I want a different color to brighten my wardrobe. There are so many colors and textures that I have to pace myself in buying too many at one time.

I believe in Mephisto walking shoes so much that I bought my dad a pair. He has wide feet, bunions, and tendonitis, which make finding a comfortable pair of shoes almost impossible. After my experience and reading all of the reviews, I gave him a pair for his birthday.  He’s had them for two years now and raves to anyone he meets about the great shoes that keep him active and his feet from aching. He’s also happy that he doesn’t have ‘old people shoes,’ as he calls them. Now he can be as stylish as his children. I believe that whatever your age or style, Mephisto has the right walking shoe for almost every person.
