Sometimes you feel like running for no reason (or at least I do). No one is chasing you, you don’t have to be somewhere five minutes ago…you just want to run. Muscles burning, hair blowing in the wind, glistening sweat on your brow, the world a blur. But what if you don’t have the right shoes? Your old Converse high tops are ratty, and your gym shoes have a hole in the sole. You need something comfortable and lightweight with great support and stability. You need a shoe that has a Star Trek-sounding name. The Ecco XT 1010 is your shoe.
The Ecco XT 1010 are proper cross-trainers that can go from the track to the trail to the mall. For the track they have great stability and support. For the trail the rubber outsole provides flexibility and excellent traction on all surfaces. For all situations the synthetic and mesh upper are comfortable and have excellent air flow, the padded collar has an achilles notch for added mobility, and the foam midsole gives superb comfort and performance thanks to extra cushioning and lightweight construction.
They offer true-to-size European 36-42, but come in a limited range of colors: Silver/Concrete/Fanta, Silver/Concrete/Pale Lilac, and Silver/White/Blue Shadow.
The reviews are very positive:
“I am really impressed with these shoes, they are very comfortable”
“I will definitely buy these again”
“Great shoes with little to no break in time.”
“They have good arch support and fit.”
“These are very lightweight.”
“These are amazingly comfortable shoes.”
“I like them so much that I bought a second pair.”
“They run true to size and hold up well under frequent use.”
“These shoes are incredibly comfortable.”
“They feel like they have been tailored for my feet.”
“I really like the shoes - they are light and the size is just what I was expecting.”
The color initially put me off, but the comfort made the sale. You get cute, casual style with the XT1010. They are functional and easy, and they give you a lift every time you slip them on. So just run.
You can purchase Ecco XT 1010 Cross Trainers at Footwear etc. They carry them in 3 different colors, and have many different styles of Ecco Cross Training shoes. The a low price guarantee, free shipping, a lifetime return policy, and one of the largest selections of Ecco shoes on the Internet, you will find them the perfect place to shop.

These shoes are very light, and also great for walking and cross training. If you plan on using them for running shoes I think the Ecco RXP 6030 is a better choice. I don't believe Ecco makes the RXP 6030 anymore, so it is hard to find. The RXP 6030 is a heavier shoe, but the heel should hold up better if your primary use is running.
I will be reviewing the Men's XT 1010 Cross Trainer and RXP 6040 shortly.
