How The ECCO Boot Fits – What You Need to Know about ECCO Sizing

ECCO boots are sized by European measurements, but their conversions are pretty accurate.  Once you are accustomed to the ECCO difference in shape, men’s ECCO boots will fit like other boots – exceeding them in comfort.  The same is true for ECCO women’s ankle boots.

The one thing you really need to be careful of is the women’s higher boot styles.  The ECCO boot is famous for its distinct shape and design – it is narrower where other shoes are wider.  This does make for a better fit overall, but you may find that some of the higher boots are very slender in the calf.  They are all leather, so there is stretch to the boot; however, if you have very wide calves, the higher ECCO women’s styles may not be the best fit for you.  For the rest of us with average or petite builds, even with the narrower design, the higher boots should still be comfortable.
